Eclectic Voices (EV) is an ambitious North London choir that enjoys challenging musical boundaries. Directed since 1991 by its founder Scott Stroman, EV regularly performs a wide range of musical repertoire: classical,

contemporary, ethnic and world music, gospel and jazz, including many world premières. The choir has appeared at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall (with the LPO), the Barbican and Sadler’s Wells, and toured across Europe, as well as presenting regular concert series in  London.

We rehearse every Thursday at Christ Church, Highbury, a short distance from Highbury and Islington station.

We will be preparing Handel's Messiah from January 2020 onwards.  On April 5, there will be a performance with a chamber orchestra at Union Chapel, Islington, and thanks to generous sponsorship and donations, will be free.  See  Upcoming Events for details.

We are always on the lookout for talented singers who can read music: right now we have some vacancies in all parts.  Our challenging programme of preparation for the Handel event has already started, but singers who know the work are welcome to audition on 30 January. Singers who are unfamiliar with the work may be asked to join us in April.

Our rehearsals are challenging but fun, and almost always followed by a little social gathering at the Highbury Barn pub. In addition to post-rehearsal socialising, we aim to have a weekend away every year, and we have frequent informal social activities (parties, walks, concert trips.)
